We are proud to announce that our co-founder, Professor John Terry FMedSci, has been honoured with the Business of Science Leadership Award in the Trade and Public Sector category at the BoSC Leadership Awards 2026.
The Business of Science Conference (BoSC) is one of the UK’s leading events connecting academic research with commercial innovation. The Leadership Awards recognise individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership at the intersection of academia and business.
“John’s ability to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and commercial application is rare. His leadership in translating academic innovation into real-world impact, while maintaining the highest standards of scientific rigour, makes him a truly deserving recipient of this award.”
— Steve Bennett, Business of Science Conference
At Grant Capture, that same commitment shapes everything we do. John’s experience on both sides of the funding equation is a unique asset. As a researcher he has secured over £35 million in personal grant funding and as an assessor he has reviewed hundreds of applications and served and chaired major funding panels. This gives our GPS methodology a depth of insight that is difficult to find elsewhere.
We are grateful to the BoSC organisers and to everyone who has supported John’s work over the years. This recognition reflects not just individual achievement, but the collaborative approach that drives everything we do at Grant Capture.
